Jaime Pressly is the latest Hollywood star to make the jump to OnlyFans, with her page set to officially launch May 7 at 1 p.m. PT, or 4 p.m. ET. The move puts the Emmy-winning actor in the same orbit as Shannon Elizabeth, who recently joined the platform and drew attention for a fast-paying start.
Pressly said she has “always believed in evolving with the times” and described OnlyFans as “another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention.” She also pointed to the fan energy she has felt in person, saying she has loved meeting people at Comic Cons and that those face-to-face moments pushed her to look at platforms like OnlyFans.
That launch comes a few weeks after Shannon Elizabeth opened her own profile and said she earned more than $1.2 million in her first seven days on the platform. Pressly and Elizabeth also shared a joint Instagram post on April 26, a public nod to the connection between two performers who found new ways to reach the same audience.
Pressly is best known for playing Joy Turner on the NBC sitcom “My Name Is Earl,” a role that won her the Emmy for outstanding actress in a comedy series. She also appeared in CBS’s “Mom,” for which she received a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination, and her film credits include “Can’t Hardly Wait,” “Not Another Teen Movie” and “I Love You, Man.”
Creators Inc. CEO Andy Bachman helped consult Pressly on the launch and said she has “the rare mix of mainstream star power and a real audience connection that modern platforms reward.” He added that she is “an elite entertainer,” and said fans are going to like what she makes there.
The question now is not whether Pressly has recognition; she does. It is whether she can turn that old-school celebrity reach into direct subscription business the way Elizabeth did, with the clock already counting down to 4 p.m. ET on May 7.
