On Day 21 of , a new split the cast into two groups and sent and out in the same episode. drew the lines at random, then won immunity and earned the rare chance to visit both camps and vote in both tribal councils.

The first blow landed on Flippen, who tied at two votes apiece before the game moved to a re-vote. Rick Devens also drew two votes, but he canceled them with an immunity idol. Flippen said she thought the result was close to a coin flip and added, “This is pretty unlikely. I think I'm probably going home.” She also said she was grateful for the risk Rick was taking, saying, “I'm so thankful that Rick is willing to take this chance with me because if this does work, this could be a game-winning move for myself or him.”

Her exit was only part of the chaos. Before Ozzy was voted out, he told Aubry Bracco far more than he should have and appeared convinced he was safe. He later went home unanimously with an idol in his pocket, a costly misread in a game where one wrong conversation can end a run. He also lashed out at Rizo Velovic, saying he had gone against Cirie’s plans and telling him, “You f--ked up, bro.”

The new wrinkle mattered because the extra vote in Cirie’s pocket was unknown to Flippen, and the source behind the episode says Rizo may now be in danger. Flippen also made clear she was not operating from a position of comfort, saying, “I think I have more fun playing Survivor when I'm playing from the bottom, as opposed to from a power position.” In the end, Jonathan Survivor 50 delivered both a tactical shock and a warning: in a split tribal format, one hidden advantage and one misplaced trust can end the night for even the most established players.
