Beşiktaş beat Alanyaspor 1-0 in the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası quarterfinal on Tuesday night at Tüpraş Stadium, with El Bilal Toure scoring in the 17th minute after a Murillo assist. The single-match tie kicked off at 20.45 ET and sent the winner through to face Konyaspor in the semifinal.
The goal came after Alanyaspor had already threatened in the 9th minute, when Ui-jo’s close-range shot was stopped by Emirhan for a corner. Beşiktaş then answered with the decisive move, and Rıdvan Yılmaz later missed the target from long range in the 25th minute.
Beşiktaş entered the quarterfinal as the more decorated side in the competition, having lifted the Türkiye Kupası 11 times before this match. Alanyaspor came in with its own recent cup history after reaching the 2019-2020 final, where it lost 2-0 to Trabzonspor. This was the first Türkiye Kupası meeting between the clubs.
