Raquel Rodriguez says 2026 is the year the bad luck ends. In a recent interview with Adam Bernard for GiveMeSport, Rodriguez said she is “undeniable” now and declared that she is going to be on top next year.
Rodriguez went further, saying she does not believe she deserves to be a Money in the Bank winner, but that she has earned the right to be one. She said she has earned everything she has gotten so far and then some, adding that timing and other circumstances have repeatedly worked against her.
That framing gives her comments extra weight because WWE Money in the Bank 2026 is already on the calendar for Sept. 6 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. It remains to be seen whether Rodriguez will compete in the women’s Money in the Bank match at the event, but she is clearly talking like someone who expects to be in the mix.
Rodriguez also looked back on how she was perceived earlier in her career. She said that when she was younger, she came off as a little soft at first because of her size, and that she felt pressure to please other people. She said that has changed, and that now the only person she needs to please is herself.
The toughest opponent she named was Shayna Baszler’s choke. Rodriguez called Baszler amazing and said the hold has put her in trouble more than anything else, adding that her bigger neck has not always helped. It was one of the most revealing parts of the interview because it showed both the physical toll of the rivalry and the confidence she says she now carries into 2026.
Rodriguez’s message was simple: the setbacks are supposed to be behind her. Whether that translates into a Money in the Bank spot or something bigger, she has made clear she intends to arrive in 2026 expecting to matter.
