Vancouver Whitecaps FC will play the Colorado Rapids on Saturday in their final home match at BC Place before the FIFA World Cup 2026 break, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. PT. Public stadium gates will open at 6:30 p.m. PT, and more than 23,000 tickets had already been sold for a night that is expected to become the club’s 19th consecutive home match at BC Place with over 20,000 fans.
The Whitecaps arrive with momentum to match the crowd. They are on a three-match winning streak, own a club-record MLS era start of 7W-1L-0D in regular-season play and have scored 22 goals with a +18 goal differential through eight matches. Last Friday, Vancouver beat Sporting Kansas City 3-0 at home behind goals from Emmanuel Sabbi, Bruno Caicedo and Thomas Müller, a result that also marked the 21st time the Whitecaps have scored three or more goals in Jesper Sørensen’s 65 games in charge.
That output has put Vancouver at the top of several attacking categories. The Whitecaps lead MLS in goals per match at 2.80, big chances with 38, shots on target per match at 7.00 and touches in the opposition’s box with 285, while also ranking first in fewest expected goals conceded at 4.60. At BC Place, Sørensen’s team has built a 22W-5L-6D record across all competitions, a run that has made the stadium the center of the club’s surge.
Colorado comes in after a 3-2 loss against Inter Miami CF and a 0-0 draw at LAFC in mid-week. The Rapids will try to slow a Vancouver side that has beaten them in three of the last four home meetings, but the fixture also sits at the front of a longer stretch for the Whitecaps. After Saturday, Vancouver will begin five consecutive road matches before the league goes into the World Cup break on May 24.
For Vancouver, the night carries more than points. It closes a five-game homestand, extends a crowd streak that has turned BC Place into a reliable draw and opens the final sprint before the season pauses for the summer tournament break.
