teased the start of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2026 on April 27 with a Halloween-themed image and riddle that appears to point to August 7 as the first night of the season. The post was part of Disney’s celebration, and at the time Disney had not yet officially confirmed the start date or full schedule.

The clue was packed into the wording itself: “When the pumpkin hour chimes just right, a clock Unveils secrets within siGht. Check the hands, then coUnt the patch, the harveSt holds the first date to caTch!” The capital letters spell AUGUST, while the image showed a clock set to 8 o’clock and seven pumpkins in a patch, a combination that points to August 7th.

That matters because Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the most reliable anchors of the fall calendar, drawing crowds to Magic Kingdom on select nights from late summer through the end of October. It is a ticketed event built around exclusive character meet and greets, Halloween-themed parades and fireworks, trick-or-treating, special food and merchandise, and seasonal overlays for Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain.

Disney was expected to release the official start date and full schedule sometime that week, and the clues suggest the company is once again using a bit of theater to stretch the anticipation before the announcement lands. On party nights, Magic Kingdom closes to day guests at 6 PM so the park can switch over to the Halloween event, making the first date more than a calendar marker for families planning a trip.

If the puzzle is right, August 7 is when the 2026 season begins — and Disney has already said enough for fans to know where the reveal is headed, even before the full lineup is made public.
