chief executive said he is feeling the pressure around the long-awaited launch of , calling the company’s November release one that has him “running so scared” and multiplying the usual nerves “by a billion.” He made the remarks on April 28 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas during the inaugural .

Zelnick’s comments land at a moment when the industry’s biggest franchise is finally nearing its next chapter. Grand Theft Auto 6 will be the first new entry in the series since arrived in 2013 and went on to set sales records for Take-Two and the broader games business. He said the company has not yet set a price for the new game, but added that it is mindful of what customers will pay and wants to deliver something that feels “very reasonable.”

“We’re blessed that we have some of the greatest creative talent on earth working inside the four walls of Take-Two and all of our affiliates,” Zelnick said, linking the release to the people building it. He also said pricing news is coming soon, though he did not give a date.

That pricing decision matters because Take-Two has spent years trying to balance blockbuster ambitions with consumer expectations. The company operates , 2K and , and it has resisted product placement and brand integration deals in the Grand Theft Auto world, treating the setting as a self-contained fiction rather than a place for real-world sponsors. Zelnick put it bluntly: “We need to be true to the underlying intellectual property and we need to be true to our consumers.”

The friction is obvious. Grand Theft Auto has become one of the most commercially powerful brands in entertainment, yet Take-Two is still holding back the one number fans most want before November: the price tag. Zelnick said the game universe itself answers part of the question. “It’s a fictional world and everything in it is fictional,” he said. For now, the company’s next big reveal is not the game’s scale or its story, but what it will cost to buy it.
