The Bold and the Beautiful turned Dylan’s mystery caller into a family shock on today’s episode, revealing that the voice on the other end belonged to her cousin, Remy Pryce. The twist sent Dylan reeling just as she was starting to find her footing again.
Sydney Bullock, who first appeared on the soap in June 2025, said she did not see the reveal coming. “I was not expecting that at all,” she said, adding that she was excited to work with Christian, calling him wonderful and saying she had heard nothing but good things. She said she liked the fact that Dylan’s family connection is not through the Logans, Forresters or Spencers, because it keeps her on the outside and leaves more of the family story to uncover.
Bullock was originally brought in to support the Luna Nozawa storyline, appearing in a couple of episodes last spring as the art teacher for Steffy Forrester Finnegan and Finn Finnegan’s child. That role was built around a shootout meant to lure Steffy into the art classroom so Luna could reach her, and Bullock said she expected the part to be brief. Instead, Dylan’s story grew after she was revealed to be homeless and was helped by Electra Forrester and Will Spencer to get back on her feet.
The Remy reveal carries much more weight because he is the same man who tortured Electra with explicit deepfakes designed to ruin her reputation before holding her captive in his apartment. Bullock said that makes the moment especially hard for Dylan, who has only recently learned about Remy’s past. “This is very shocking for Dylan,” she said. “She’s seeing a whole new side to her cousin, to her family member, and she’s a little bit at a loss of what to do.”
That tension is what gives the twist its edge. Dylan is suddenly dealing with someone who is both family and, from her point of view, almost a stranger. Bullock said the character does not know what to expect from him and is still trying to understand how to handle a relationship she has never had before. The actor said the messiness is part of the appeal, calling the love-triangle-style drama an iconic soap trope and saying it has been especially fun to play because the story lives in a gray area rather than a simple good-versus-bad divide. For now, the show has answered the immediate question and raised a bigger one: Dylan may know who called, but she still does not know what kind of family tie she has just walked into.
