are interested in signing , the 16-year-old left winger and brother of PSG star , after he flew to Munich this week for a meeting with club officials and a first look at the team’s facilities.

The Georgian youth international was included in Dinamo Tbilisi’s first-team squad for the first time last Saturday, and several other European clubs are also following him. The visit matters because Bayern cannot bring him in before he turns 18 under rules, which means the earliest possible move would come in the , at the first transfer window after his birthday.

That delay is familiar in Munich. Bayern previously tried to build an early connection with Georgian talent through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia nearly a decade ago, but the rules on non-EU players kept that interest from turning into a deal. The club’s interest in Tornike also fits a longer pattern: Bayern signed from Dinamo Tbilisi in after he turned 18, a move that tied the German club more closely to the Georgian side.

The problem for Bayern is the same one that has frustrated its recruitment before. UEFA rules do not allow the club to place Tornike in its youth teams, either, and Uli Hoeness has openly complained about those restrictions. That leaves Bayern watching from a distance for now, even as Tornike’s profile rises and other clubs circle. The next real decision point is not this week’s visit in Munich, but whether he keeps developing well enough for Bayern to wait until 2028.
