Victoria Beckham turned 52 on Friday, and David Beckham marked the day with an Instagram birthday post that leaned on family, affection and a well-placed nod to one of the couple's most talked-about moments. He called her the one & only Posh Spice and said she was the best wife, mum, friend and gym partner, while sharing childhood and family photos that traced her from girlhood to the centre of the Beckham household.
One of those pictures showed a young Beckham standing in front of a Rolls-Royce, a subtle reference to a conversation from the Netflix programme Beckham in which she said her father drove a Rolls-Royce even as she described her upbringing as working class. Victoria Beckham answered her husband's post with a brief message of her own, writing, I love you so much, followed by four red love heart emojis.
The birthday tribute landed alongside a broader family chorus. Cruz Beckham, 21, wrote, Happy birthday @victoriabeckham I love you xx. You inspire me every day. Romeo Beckham followed with three white love heart emojis and the message, Happy birthday mum, love you so so much have the best day. Late on Thursday evening, Beckham had already shared a photo that appeared to show a birthday dinner with her family, including a sweet embrace with Harper Beckham and a cream-covered birthday cake in front of them.
Victoria Beckham also singled out Harper in that post, writing, Love you so much @harperbeckham, while tagging the teenager's private Instagram account. The celebration arrived on the same day she spoke publicly about the family feud involving Brooklyn Beckham, after months in which the dispute had played out largely outside her own comments.
In an interview with the, Beckham said the family had always tried to be the best parents they can be and that, after more than 30 years in the public eye, all they had ever tried to do was protect and love their children. She added, I think that we've always - we love our children so much, and closed the subject by saying, And you know, that's all I really want to say about it.
The remarks matter because Brooklyn Beckham issued an 800-word statement earlier this year saying he did not want to reconcile with his parents, pushing the feud into full public view. Beckham had not publicly acknowledged the rumoured rift before Friday's comments, and the timing of the birthday tributes made the family unity on display feel deliberate, even as the underlying break remains unresolved. The message from Friday was clear: the celebration was real, the affection was public, and the fracture with Brooklyn was not something Victoria Beckham was ready to litigate in detail.
