The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has named Iron Maiden among its 2026 inductees, putting the long-running metal band into one of music’s most visible honors as it marks its 50th anniversary year.
Rod Smallwood, speaking for the band, thanked the Hall for including Iron Maiden and the former members who helped shape its story in the 2026 roll call of inductees. He said the group has always put its relationship with fans ahead of awards and industry accolades, though recognition for its work is still welcome.
Smallwood said the timing feels right because Iron Maiden is still celebrating its 50th anniversary while the Run For Your Lives World Tour moves through the Americas and beyond. He also congratulated the other 2026 inductees and thanked fans for their loyalty, perseverance and support over more than 50 years.
The induction adds a new line to a history the band has built the hard way, through touring and a fan base that has stayed with it for decades. Smallwood ended his message with the kind of send-off that suits a band still on the road: “See you all, somewhere on tour.”
