Hardee's says its restaurant at Route 30 and North George Street in Manchester Township will not close by the end of the month and will remain open into the summer, reversing an earlier shutdown timeline that had spread through York County.
Hardee's spokeswoman Lauren Garton said Friday, April 17, that the company was correcting the record after its April 9 statement said the Manchester Township eatery would shut down by the end of the month. The change leaves open a Hardee's that had been expected to go dark weeks ago, while the longtime restaurant at 820 E. Main St. in the Dallastown area has already closed permanently.
Hardee's said on April 9 that the Dallastown-area location had closed its doors for good and offered no reason for that closure or for the original Manchester Township plan. Garton also previously told the York Daily Record that there were no plans for additional closures in the area, even as word about the shutdowns spread on social media and stirred concern among customers.
Garton said the company regrets the confusion the shifting messages caused, telling guests, the local franchisee and team members, “We regret any inconvenience or misunderstanding this may have caused valued guests, the local franchisee and team members.” For now, the Manchester Township restaurant remains the only Hardee's in the county confirmed to stay open past April.
