Jc Mateo is officially out of WWE. The company moved Mateo to the Alumni section on its website after his latest appearance, confirming that he is no longer on the active roster.
Sean Ross Sapp reported that Mateo is part of the latest group of departures, adding another name to WWE’s ongoing roster shake-up. His final match came on the April 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, where he teamed with Tama Tonga in a loss to Damian Priest and R-Truth.
Mateo debuted at Backlash 2025 and aligned with Solo Sikoa, but his WWE run ended up lasting less than a year. Before signing with WWE in 2025, he was known internationally as Jeff Cobb, a name he made in New Japan Pro-Wrestling as part of the United Empire faction.
The move to Alumni closes the door on a run that was built largely around faction work and support roles rather than a long solo push. That makes the timing of the exit clear: after the April 24 loss, WWE shifted Mateo off the active roster and into the company archive.
For Mateo, the answer is now straightforward. He is out of WWE, and the company has already marked him as part of its next wave of departures.
