is teaming up with for the finale of , and the home tour was filmed in Florida. The crossover episode will land during the third season of the series, which premieres Friday, May 1.

McBrayer said the visit was built around a house whose owner was obsessed with James Bond spy movies, making the property “very James Bond-inspired.” He said it was all “so fun” and added that Bromstad “knows a house,” while saying the designer seemed to be in his element on set.

Season 3 will feature 41 new houses, giving the show a larger runway for the kind of offbeat tours that turned it into a draw in the first place. McBrayer said the first two seasons also helped homeowners understand that the series is not meant to make fun of or embarrass them, but to appreciate the choices people make when they open their doors.

That tone matters because the crossover is being billed as one of the show’s wildest tours yet, and McBrayer’s comments suggest it works because the humor never comes at the homeowner’s expense. Bromstad has previously appeared across HGTV programs including HGTV Design Star, Color Splash, Beach Flip, Rock the Block and Brother vs. Brother, and McBrayer said he would work with him again in a heartbeat.

McBrayer also said he would love to join on Ugliest House in America or Scariest House in America, and he could imagine a crossover with D’Arcy Carden on Wild Vacation Rentals. He even floated the idea of touring a house with Conan O’Brien, joking that the comedian would be ducking through doorways the whole time. For Zillow Gone Wild, though, the bigger answer is already on screen: the show is leaning into the weird, but it is doing it with Bromstad’s design instincts and McBrayer’s comic eye.
