The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library will celebrate Free Comic Book Day on Saturday May 2 at both of its library branches, giving visitors a chance to pick up one free comic book and take it home.
Community members of all ages are invited to stop by, and every patron who visits on May 2 will have the opportunity to choose one title from a wide selection. The giveaway is limited to one comic book per patron and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
The library said Free Comic Book Day is meant to promote literacy, creativity and a love of storytelling within the community. Information about the event is available on the library’s website.
The offer is simple, but the terms matter: the books are limited, the clock is May 2, and the only guarantee is that the first visitors through the door will get first choice.
